Visiting Hours

Visiting Hours

You can visit most wards between 10.00am and 8.00pm. We ask you to be respectful of all patients especially those who are very ill. Visitors should be kept to two per patient at the one time.

Children are welcome when accompanied by an adult and should remain with their family at all times.

The Waratah ward (maternity) closes for a rest period between 1:00pm and 3:00pm. We ask that only partners are present during these hours.

Should you wish to visit a patient outside of these hours, please speak with the Nurse Unit Manager.

We recommend that you have no more than three visitors at your bedside at any one time for your own comfort and the comfort of other patients.

Visiting hours for Canterbury Hospital are also available in Arabic, Vietnamese, Greek, Italian and Chinese

After-Hours

The hospital has restricted access between the hours of 8:00pm – 7:00am. For access after-hours please go to the Emergency Department registration desk. The Emergency Department is accessible 24 hours a day.
