Services provided

We are a team of paediatricians and child health doctors who provide a diverse range of clinical services to children and young people aged 0-24 years. We have a particular focus on socially disadvantaged children, young people and their families or carers. Our services include:

  • Assessments for developmental and behavioural difficulties
  • Assessment and management of soiling and bed wetting
  • Combined paediatric and psychosocial assessment clinics for children in "out of home care" and/or who are in vulnerable situations
  • Regular Early Childhood paediatric screening clinics
  • Aboriginal Early Childhood screening clinics
  • Youth Health clinics for young people 12- 24 years
  • Targeted outreach school clinics in inner Sydney

All the above services are FREE. A referral from your doctor is helpful for our assessment and in planning how we can best help your child.

There are also visiting paediatricians who see children 0-18 years of age for general medical and developmental issues. For this service, children require a written referral from a GP and a Medicare card. The visits are bulk billed and there are no out of pocket expenses.

Clinics are conducted at the following sites:

  • Croydon Health Centre
  • Marrickville Community Health Centre
  • Canterbury Community Health Centre
  • Camperdown Child and Family Health Centre
  • Canterbury Hospital Outpatients
  • Youthblock, BMRI Centre
  • Belmore Youth Resource Centre
  • Alexandra Public School
  • Glebe Public School
  • Royal Prince Alfred Hospital
  • The Benevolent Society Rosebery

Referrals to our services can be made by your General Practitioner, Paediatrician, Child and Family Health Nurse, allied health professional (e.g. psychologist, social worker, speech pathologist, physiotherapist, occupational therapist), or school counsellor. We also accept referrals from designated community services working with children, young people and their families.

Referrals can be made by calling 9378 1365 or fax to 9378 1332, or for Youth Health phone 9515 2233.
