Education
All staff undergo continuing education relevant to their discipline including attendance at local and international conferences and regular education meetings.
Many staff are also actively involved in providing education to other professionals. Some highlights include
-        Education for University of Sydney Medical School Concord Clinical School students and Master’s program in Cancer Pain Management.
-        Postgraduate supervision of palliative medicine trainees
-        Palliative care education of general and palliative care nurses in the Sydney Local Health District and through the division of general practice
-        A/Prof Aggarwal was Chair of the Scientific Committee for the Asia Pacific Hospice Conference in 2015, Taiwan
-        Presentations at national and international conferences
-        Providing an education programme to palliative care providers across the Asia-pacific region
-        Sydney Institute of Palliative Medicine Symposium
Concord Palliative Care professionals also speak at education events for the wider community.
Research
Concord palliative care service is committed to providing best practice evidence based care. This includes offering patients and families the opportunity to participate in research designed to improve care. Being part of national and international research assists us to create a dynamic service which best meets the needs of our patients.
