Making an appointment

Initial enquiries about making an appointment can be discussed with Praful Rattan on 9767 6735. You will need a written referral letter addressed to Assoc. Prof Sean Riminton, Dr Sandhya Limaye or Dr Catherine Toong. It is important to fax your referral letter in advance to 9767 8315 so appointments can be allocated based on medical need.

Information for patients

At your first visit, go to the reception desk for the clinic that you have a booking for. When you confirm your appointment by phone you will be given directions or if you need help on the day, there is an information desk in the main entrance of Concord Hospital.

On your arrival you will be asked for your referral letter and Medicare Card or Veteran Entitlement Card. If you don't bring your Medicare Card you will be need to pay a consultation fee before to the appointment.

If you are receiving treatment for an allergy problem avoid antihistamine tablets for at least three days prior to your appointment. This will help give an accurate result if a skin test is needed as these medications interfere with test results. A number of over-the-counter cold and flu preparations contain antihistamines and also need to be avoided. You must NOT stop your cortisone medications (e.g. prednisone or prednisolone tablets), asthma puffers, nasal sprays or skin creams. Talk to your doctor if you are not sure.

Please bring your x-rays, scans and test results (if applicable) to the appointment.

There is a coin operated car park on Hospital Road, as well as limited two hour street parking. More information about getting to your appointment can be found here. Should you have any questions about your appointment, please contact Praful Rattan on 9767 6735 or the Appointment Centre on 9767 5333.

We welcome comments and suggestions about our services as they help to improve our care and service. Please contact the Patient Representative on 9767 7488.

No content supplied from the Department of Immunology but recommend that this would be a good consistent area to include links to further patient information or online resources. When the patient information portal is loaded it would be best to direct or link from here rather than having any brochures or PDFs directly attached to the page.
