Our Research

Professor David Celermajer's research is in three major areas:

Congenital heart disease
Pulmonary vascular disease

Key Achievements

Professor David Celermajer - 2015:

  • The publication of over 20 peer-reviewed manuscripts, many in very high-impact international journals such as the European Heart Journal, Nature reviews in cardiology, Heart and Circulation.
  • Continued duties as an Editor of several of the major cardiovascular journals in the world, including Circulation, Journal of the American College of Cardiology, Heart and European Heart Journal; for this latter, I served as International Associate Editor.
  • Establishment of a Congenital Heart Disease Registry for Australia and New Zealand (still in the planning stages, but funding and logistic commitments were obtained in 2015).

Research Staff

  • Amy Coy, Research Assistant
  • Laura Wiley, Research Sonographer

Higher Degree Students:

  • Dr Shareen Jaijee
