We understand that a hospital stay can be a worrying time for you and your loved ones. If you have any questions about any part of your care, or need help with the services we provide, just ask one of our staff members – we'll be happy to help you.

At RPA, we are committed to providing the very best care available to you. We hope the following information is useful for your next visit or stay with us.

If you have any specific care requirements or support needs while you're in the Emergency Department, please inform staff so we can arrange to make you more comfortable.

Planning Ahead
Before your stay at RPA please inform us about what support needs you or your carer may require, if you require equipment or if you will be bringing your own equipment, so that we can prepare for your stay.

Your Discharge and the Transit Lounge
Planning for your discharge starts on the day you are admitted to hospital. To ensure there are no delays to your discharge please check whether your GP and personal contact details are up to date in our system. Speak to a staff member if you need to check or change any details.

On your day of discharge you may be transferred to the Transit Lounge while we prepare your discharge paperwork and any medications you might require. While you wait in the Transit Lounge, you will receive the same high-quality care and attention that you received on your ward.
