About Us

Concord Hospital's Emergency Department is a "Level 5" Emergency Department (ED). We see a mixture of both adult and paediatric patients. Currently we have an average of one hundred presentations per day which is 35,500 patients every year. There is a wide variety of patients who are seen through ED. We see everything from the minor problem to the critically unwell patient requiring resuscitation. On average 30% of patients are admitted and the remainder are discharged.  Concord Hospital Emergency Department has an increasing number of patients seen each year with over 38,000 patients in 2015.

The ED team is made up of a variety of professionals such as nurses, doctors, social workers, physiotherapists, and pharmacists as well as ancillary staff.

Our Team Vision Statement is:
"The staff of Concord ED aim to provide a high standard of holistic care safely and effectively in a respectful and supportive environment".

At Concord Hospital Emergency Department we also uphold the NSW Health CORE Values of Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment.
