Learning Opportunities

During mental health placements many familiar clinical tasks, routines and structure are less apparent and you may be feeling lost. The learning that occurs in the mental health setting has a different focus to that of your general health placements. As some of the situations of mental health consumers may be confronting, debriefing with your clinical facilitator is important. You will also be supported by your allocated nurse preceptor and clinical nurse educators while on placement in mental health.
