Maxillofacial prosthodontics is a part of the specialty of Prosthodontics and provides removable prostheses for patients who have deformities of the mouth and face.
Prostheses are artificial devices made of plastic, rubber and metal which replace lost parts of the body.

Patients must first be seen by their local community oral health clinic, general medical practitioner or specialist. The clinic or doctor will write a referral to our department that asks us to provide the treatment you need.

The First Appointment
Your first appointment will be for a consultation only. This allows us to fully understand your needs and to talk with you about treatment.
Options for treatment will be explained to you and a treatment plan will be worked out that both you and we are happy with.
It can take a number of appointments to complete the treatment.
You will meet your Specialist Dentist and Dental Assistant.
