The Diversity Programs and Strategy Hub (Diversity Hub) was established within Population Health as part of Sydney Local Health District's commitment to improving the health of our culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities.
The Diversity Hub supports the District to be responsive and adaptive to changing community demographics, health issues and service utilisation. It supports the core business of both clinical and non-clinical services to improve the health of/and care for our communities.
The Diversity Hub brings together the content expertise, skill sets and community connections of a range of key services including the Cultural Support Program, the statewide Multicultural HIV and Hepatitis Service (MHAHS) and the Multicultural Health Service (MHS).
It fosters innovative approaches to working with priority CALD populations on a range of health issues. It provides District services with cultural expertise and guidance to inform health service and program development, a key milestone identified in the NSW Plan for Healthy Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Communities 2018-2023.
