Parking and Transport
Parking at RPA
Paid hospital parking, including concession rate parking, is available behind the King George V building, access off Missenden Rd, Camperdown, opposite the main entrance to RPA.
Paid hospital parking, including concession rate parking, is available in the RPA visitor and staff multi-storey car park, access via Hospital Road (off Carillon Avenue), Camperdown.
Disabled parking spaces are available outside the main entrance to RPA on Missenden Rd, the King George V building opposite the main hospital, the Women and Babies entrance on Johns Hopkins Drive, Brodie St off Missenden Rd and at the Gloucester Drive entrance.
There is also parking available for radiotherapy patients outside the Radiation Oncology on Salisbury Rd and dialysis patients off Susan St.
Patients can be dropped off or picked up at any of the timed drop off zones outside the main entrance points to the hospital.
There is also local council metered parking in main cross streets and various other pay car parks in surrounding areas.

Concession parking
Concession parking rates are available for eligible patients and their carers only when parking in the King George V car park.
Eligible patients and carers are those holding a concession card or requiring long term hospitalisation or regular treatment at RPA, as outlined below. A carer is a person providing ongoing support to a family member, neighbour or friend who needs assistance during their course of treatment.

Concession card holders
- Holders of a RMS issued Mobility Parking Scheme Permit.
- Holders of a Blue Pensioner Concession Card.
- Holders of a Gold Veterans Affairs Card
- Centerlink Beneficiaries (Senior Health care or Health Care Card)
How to claim
The above eligible patients or carers must present their concession card, photo identification and original parking entry ticket to the RPA Security Office to validate their ticket for the concession rate. A validated ticket is required prior to exiting the car park.
Other eligible concessions
- Ongoing cancer treatment patients.
- Patients and their carers who are required to attend the hospital for a course of treatment over a period of time greater than one week.
- Cardiac rehabilitation education and exercise class attendees.
- Daily dressing outpatients.
- Health promotion education class attendees.
How to claim
The above eligible patients or carers must present a completed Concession Parking Ticket Authorisation Form signed by a staff member from their treating team confirming their eligibility. Copies of these forms will be available from your treating service or at the RPA Security Office.
The signed form must then be presented the RPA Information Desk (Level 5, Main Hospital entrance) to validate the parking ticket for the concession rate. A validated ticket is required prior to exiting the car park.

Taxis
A taxi rank is located opposite the hospital on Salisbury Road (between Chris O’Brien Lifehouse and King George V buildings). If required, a taxi can also be ordered for you.
