Julie McCrossin and Glenn Daniel return to Innovation Week
Broadcaster Julie McCrossin AM returns to Innovation Week as Master of Ceremonies.
Julie gets people talking and she is renowned for her warmth, humour, intelligence and commitment to social justice.
After 20 years as a broadcaster with ABC Radio National, ABC TV and Network Ten, she now facilitates conferences and seminars. Julie is especially known for her capacity to guide forums on sensitive topics, such as mental health. She is also a long-term advocate for marriage equality.
After treatment for stage 4 throat cancer in 2013, Julie is now an Ambassador for Beyond Five, Targeting Cancer and TROG Cancer Research. In 2017, she hosted the podcast series, The Thing About Cancer for Cancer Council NSW.
Julie will emcee our Women’s Leadership Breakfast at NSW Parliament House on Wednesday 26 June, 2019.
She will facilitate the Patient and Family Experience Symposium on Tuesday 25 June, 2019 at Centre for Education and Workforce Development, Rozelle.
And she will host Sydney Research’s premier event The Big Idea on Thursday 27 June, 2019 at the Hyatt Regency, Sydney.
On the same day, Sydney Local Health District’s Director of Research Warwick Britton AO will host the Clinical Trials Showcase. Professor Britton is a Clinical immunologist at RPA, Bosch Professor of Medicine and Professor of Immunology at the University of Sydney and Head of the Mycobacterial Research Program at the Centenary Institute.
And popular broadcaster Glenn Daniel returns to host the Care in Our Community forum. Glenn is a veteran radio journalist and is currently Breakfast co-host and News presenter on smooth95.3 and a supporter of RPA’s cardiac research programs.
Julie will be our Master of Ceremonies for Innovation Week’s flagship event, the Sydney Innovation and Research Symposium on Friday 28 June, 2019 at the Hyatt Regency, Sydney.
