Death & Dying
As you get older, you may start to think more about the process of death and dying. This may particularly happen as you start to lose loved ones, become more frail yourself, or are diagnosed with a terminal illness.
Some people may choose to actively prepare for their death, ensuring that they have all their personal and legal affairs in order. Some people like to plan where they will die, who will be present and what type of memorials they would like after they have died. Other people have greater difficulty coming to terms with their impending death and prefer not to think about or plan for this day.
A range of end-of-life care services are available through both the LHD and other organisations. Palliative Care NSW provides access to a range of resources to assist you and your loved ones come to terms with death and dying.
