Community Visitors Scheme
The Community Visitors Scheme (CVS) is an Australian Government funded program to promote links between people living in a residential aged care facility and the wider community. It aims to enrich the quality of life of residents of residential aged care facilities who may be socially isolated or lonely, for social or cultural reasons, or due to disability.

The CVS provides one-on-one visits to identified isolated aged care home residents from a culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) background, by matching them with appropriate CALD volunteer visitors, throughout Sydney Metropolitan area.

For more information, please contact the Community Visitors Scheme Coordinator on 9515 9800.

You can find out about the Community Visitor schemes run by other agencies by contacting the Commonwealth Respite and Carelink Centre on 1800 052 222.
