Community Paticipation

The Community Advisory Committee (CAC) at Balmain Hospital is made up of consumer representatives from all walks of life that represent the interests of patients and their support people who attend Balmain Hospital. These representatives meet on a regular basis and provide feedback to the Balmain Hospital Executive on issues that impact upon satisfaction with the patient experience and ways to improve the hospital services such as:

  • Monitoring the services provided to patients, their support people and carers.
  • Responding to customer issues by making recommendations for service improvement where required.
  • Providing feedback on new initiatives, programs and policies that impact on people who access the Hospital.

The CAC is interested in receiving feedback from people of all ages and cultures and who are interested in supporting Balmain Hospital to ensure services are responsive to the needs of its consumers. You can provide feedback by writing to the CAC Chairperson c/o Balmain Hospital Executive Unit or send an email to with 'CAC issue' as the subject heading.
