For many Carers, it may be costly and difficult to find dental care for the person they look after. The Sydney Dental Hospital (SDH) Special Care Dentistry Department has a special outreach program to help some disadvantaged groups with their dental care.
The service treats:
- People who are aged and frail;
- People with mental, intellectual, developmental and physical disabilities;
- People with chronic medical conditions and;
- The primary or main Carer of these people.
- The service can also help people living in residential aged care facilities or group homes.
Sydney Dental Hospital is located opposite the Elizabeth Street exit to Central Railway Station. Phone: 1300 559 393 or 9293 3333 (Dental Access Centre) for SDH services or go to Important Links

Children can access basic dental treatment such as check-ups, x-rays, fillings and extractions up to a cost of $1,000 per child over a two-year period.
