Nursing Scholarship

Information for NSW Health Rozelle Campus

NSW Health in partnership the NSW Health RTO and the Centre for Education and Workforce Development (CEWD) in Sydney Local Health District are offering scholarships for the 2020 Diploma of Nursing program at Rozelle Campus.

Why Should You Choose to Study with the NSW Health RTO?

The NSW Health Registered Training Organisation (RTO) is a well-established organisation that was formed specifically to provide qualifications for the NSW Health workforce and their future workforce. Our courses and programs are designed to meet the needs of people working within the NSW public healthcare system.

The Centre for Education and Workforce Development (CEWD) in Rozelle is a delivery site of the NSW Health RTO and is the education and training service for Sydney Local Health District (SLHD). We are one of two sites in NSW Health to offer the Diploma of Nursing as a program and we have been doing this for over 10 years.

We offer more clinical placement hours than other institutes to make sure that you have the practical experience needed to become skilled members of the nursing team. You would complete your clinical placements in our hospitals (Royal Prince Alfred, Concord, Canterbury and Balmain) which means you will have the opportunities to get to know our teams, systems and processes. Almost all of our graduates go on to work in one of our hospitals and many go on to complete their degree in nursing.

We have our own very skilled faculty who will teach you in class and facilitate your clinical placements – giving you a unique theory to practice transition.

Scholarships

Through our partnership with NSW Health we are able to offer scholarships for participants completing the Diploma of Nursing. The scholarships include course fees for the Diploma of Nursing, and the offer of employment in a NSW public health facility on successful completion of the Diploma and registration as an EN (pending satisfactory employment checks).

Applications for the scholarships open 9am on 14 January 2020 and close at 12 noon on 19 February 2020. Please note that when you nominate the site for your scholarship please choose NSW Health RTO (CEWD Rozelle)
