Distan Bach
Distan Bach

Distan Bach is one of CEWD's Mental Health Educators and has worked with us since 1999. He has coordinated a number of portfolios including the Critical Incident Positive Outcome program, and group leadership courses.

Currently, Distan is coordinating the 12 month Transition to Mental Health Nursing Program.

Prior to his position at CEWD, Distan was a Clinical Nurse Specialist in acute adult mental health. His 10 years spent at the coalface afforded him with some unique insights into complex mental health presentations.

Distan is a Registered Nurse, holds a Master of Arts (eLearning) and a Graduate Diploma in Mental Health (Nursing). In his spare time, he enjoys taking photographs, and playing

 
Rebecca Bedford
Rebecca Bedford

Rebecca Bedford one of our Workforce Development Consultants at CEWD. She has a focus on courses such as Teaching on the Run, Performance Development Process and programs such as the Leaders of the Future and the CNE/CME Professional Development and Support Program.

Prior to her position at CEWD Rebecca worked as an Occupational Therapy Clinical Educator at Bankstown Hospital specialising in stoke rehabilitation. She has also worked as senior OT, and gained specialist experience in neurological disorders and palliative care.

Rebecca is a graduate of the University of Sydney, Occupational Therapy and has continued her education by gaining a Diploma of Management, Certificate IV Workplace Training and Education, and is currently completing a Diploma of Project management.

 
Genevieve Catterson
Genevieve Catterson

Genevieve Catterson is one of CEWD's Nurse Educators. Her main education responsibilities include coordinating the Transitional Nurse Program and Student enrolled Nurse Program at Canterbury Hospital. She also is responsible for the Between the Flags Education Program.

Prior to her position at CEWD, Genevieve has extensive experience as a Registered nurse in coronary care, intensive care and surgical areas.

Genevieve is a Registered Nurse and has continued her education by gaining a Certificate IV in workplace training & assessment.

 
Greg Chauncy
Greg Chauncy

Greg Chauncy is one of our Nurse Educators at CEWD. His main education responsibilities include facility coordinator for the Diploma of Nursing and coordinate student clinical placements at RPAH.

Prior to his position at CEWD, Greg worked as a Graduate Nurse Coordinator and a cardiology clinical nurse educator at RPAH. He has also gained specialist nursing experience in cardiology and intensive care both within Australia and internationally.

Greg is a graduate of the University of Sydney, Bachelor of Nursing, and has continued his education by gaining a Graduate Certificate in Critical Care Nursing, and a Certificate IV in workplace training & assessment.

 
Pat Dayton
Pat Dayton

Pat Dayton is one of CEWD's Workforce Development Consultants. Her responsibilities include the training of our technical courses such as Certificate IV in Frontline Management, which involves 10 competencies relating to leadership and management. 

She also teaches courses in managing conflict, Myers Briggs Type Indicator, communication, and other courses required by teams in the Sydney Local Health District.

Prior to her position at CEWD in 2005 Pat worked in the private sector training in leadership, recruitment, payroll and other H.R. functions.

Pat is a graduate of the University of Technology, Bachelor of Business (Accounting and Communications) and has continued her education by gaining a Masters degree in Business (Employment Relations).

 
Hanh Dinh
Hanh Dinh

Hanh Dinh is one of our Nurse Educators at CEWD. Her main education responsibilities include facilitation of the Diploma of Nursing Course and coordinating student clinical placements at Concord Hospital.

Prior to her position at CEWD, Hanh worked as a registered nurse in the high dependency unit and MET coordinator at Fairfield Hospital.

Hanh is a graduate of the University of South Australia, Bachelor of Nursing, and has continued her education by gaining a Post Graduate Certificate in Cardiac Nursing and High Dependency Care, and a Certificate IV in workplace training & assessment.

 
Kerry Florio
Kerry Florio

Kerry Florio is one of CEWD's Nurse Educators. She has a focus on community health education, wound management, Teaching on the Run and Hand Hygiene Auditor Training.

Kerry has lectured in the Faculty of Nursing at both University of Sydney (USYD) and Australian Catholic University (ACU). She has also worked as a Nurse Educator, and gained specialist nursing experience in Vascular Surgery, cardiology, urology, recovery, and breast and gastrointestinal surgery.

Kerry is a graduate of the University of Sydney, Bachelor of Nursing, and has continued her education by gaining a Masters degree in Nursing (Adult Education) and Certificate IV Workplace Training and Assessment.

 
Maria Shyrill Galao
Maria Shyrill Galao

Maria Shyrill Galao is one of CEWD's Nurse Educators. Her main education responsibilities include coordinating the Diploma of Nursing Program for NSW Registered Training Organisation.

Prior to her position at CEWD, Maria worked as a nurse educator for the Trainee Enrolled Nurse Program and facility coordinator for the VET in Schools Program at Bankstown Hospital.

Maria is a graduate of the University of Western Sydney, Bachelor of Nursing, and has continued her education by gaining a Graduate Certificate in Acute Care Nursing and a Certificate IV in workplace training & assessment.

 
Michael Green
Michael Green

Michael Green has worked as one of our Mental Health Educators at CEWD since 2008. His main education responsibilities include leading the aggression minimisation programs for the mental health portfolio across SLHD.

Prior to his position at CEWD, Michael worked in acute adult mental health settings both in Australia and overseas where he gained expertise in aggression minimisation.

Michael is a registered mental health nurse and has continued his education by gaining a Certificate IV in workplace training & assessment.

 
Melinda Grimson
Melinda Grimson

Melinda Grimson is one of CEWD's Nurse Educators. Her main education focus is the critical care and resuscitation portfolio.

Prior to her position at CEWD, Melinda worked as a clinical nurse consultant in stroke case management, and as a clinical nurse educator in Neurosurgical Intensive Care at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.

Melinda holds clinical titles with UTS and UTAS, and held the position of Secretary of the NSW Branch of the Australian College of Critical Care Nursing (ACCCN).

Melinda is a graduate of the University of Sydney, Bachelor of Nursing, and has continued her education by gaining a Masters Degree in Education (Organisational and Workplace Learning), a Graduate Diploma in Nursing (clinical leadership), and a Certificate IV in workplace training & assessment.

 
Keiran Harvey
Keiran Harvey

Keiran Harvey is one of our Nurse Educators at CEWD. He joined the team in 2010 and has a focus on eLearning development and simulation.

Prior to his position at CEWD Keiran worked as a Clinical Nurse Specialist and Clinical Nurse Educator in ICU at RPA.

Keiran is a Registered Nurse and has continued his education by gaining a Masters of Education in Adult Education and a Masters of Arts in eLearning, and also has a Graduate Certificate in Intensive Care.

 
Marie Heydon
Marie Heydon

Marie Heydon is one of CEWD's Senior Workforce Development Consultants. Her main education responsibilities include leading the Management and Leadership portfolio including the Diploma of Management.

Prior to her position at CEWD, Marie worked as the Sydney Inter-disciplinary Clinical Training Network Coordinator with Health Education and Training Institute, and an experienced social worker for over 23 years in a wide range of clinical environments, education and management settings.

Due to her wide range of experience and interest in guardianship and decision making, Marie provides consultant services to the NSW Trustee and Guardian for people under financial management, and co-facilitates the delivery of the Australian Association Social Workers (AASW) Social Work Supervision Course.

Marie is a graduate of the University of Sydney, Bachelor of Social Studies, and has continued her education by gaining a Masters of Social Work and a Certificate IV in workplace training & assessment.

 
Linda Kelly
Linda Kelly

Linda Kelly has been one of CEWD's Nurse Educators for 15 years. Her responsibilities include supporting staff caring for older people and staff working at Balmain Hospital.

Linda has previously coordinated the Transition Support Nurse, Critical Care Rotation Programs, and Trainee Enrolled Nurse Program. She has a broad clinical background in Oncology, Anaesthetics and Recovery and relieved in CNC positions such as After Hours Resource and IVT/TPN.

Linda networks across the NSW Pillar Agencies, is a member of the ACI NSW Aged Health Network, and in 2014 lead the HETI NSW Falls eLearning Project that supports the EQuIP National falls standard.

She has been recently published and her research work on falls prevention and management with an eLearning approach continues to be presented at Conferences. The CEWD Falls Champion Program developed by Linda is unique to NSW and was presented to the Premiers and Cabinet Department in April 2009.

She holds a Masters Degree in Nurse Education, post basic certificate qualifications in Oncological Nursing and Nursing Unit Management, and Cert IV in Workplace Assessment and Training.

 
Duane Keys
Duane Keys

Duane Keys is the Manager of our Clinical Placement Unit. His responsibilities include management of all clinical placements across Sydney Local Health District, supporting staff to use ClinConnect through education and training, liaising with education providers, staff and students to facilitate equitable access to clinical placement opportunities and monitoring and reporting on key clinical placement data.

Prior to his position at CEWD Duane had worked in many roles relating to the coordination and management of student placements in various health districts.

Duane is a graduate of the University of Sydney, Bachelor of Nursing, and has continued his education by gaining a Masters degree in Nurse Education and a Masters degree in Health Management.

Etienne Kitto
Etienne Kitto

Etienne Kitto is one of our Nurse Educators at CEWD. He has a focus on the clinical areas of Mental Health and Psychiatry. He leads programs in the areas of Assessment, Suicide assessment and management and Interpersonal trauma. His programs cater for interdisciplinary audiences, with a focus on experiential and deductive learning.

Etienne has held conjoint positions with several metropolitan universities within faculties of nursing.  He currently supports clinical staff through clinical supervision. His interest in Suicide awareness has seen him present numerous papers at international conferences on Suicide Awareness and Prevention.

He holds a Masters degree in Education, Bachelors degree in Liberal Arts, Diploma in Education, Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and is a Registered Nurse.

 
Melissa Legovic
Melissa Legovic

Melissa Legovic is one of our Workforce Development Consultants at CEWD. She develops and delivers training for our customer service and recruitment courses.

Melissa has a keen interest in organisational development, employee wellness, improving the health of staff and helping develop the talents and skills of employees in the workforce.

Melissa has worked as a clinical dietician within Australia and overseas, and as a health & safety professional in private industry.

Melissa is a graduate of the University of Wollongong, Bachelor of Nutrition & Dietetics (Exercise Science), and has continued her education by gaining a Masters Degree of Science (OHS); Certificate IV Workplace Training and Assessment; Diploma of Management.

 
Margaret Littlewood
Margaret Littlewood

Margaret Littlewood is on of our Nurse Educators at CEWD. Margaret joined the team in 2004 and leads a number of mental health programs including Area Mental Health Service Orientation and Understanding Mental Illness courses. She also is a facilitator for the University of Tasmania, and a Trainee Enrolled Nurse Educator.

Prior to her position at CEWD Margaret worked as a clinical nurse specialist in community mental health.

Margaret is a Registered Nurse and has continued her education by gaining a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

 
Bradley Lloyd
Bradley Lloyd

Brad Lloyd is our Allied Health Clinical Training and Education Coordinator at CEWD and works in our Clinical Placement Unit. He is a registered physiotherapist and qualified exercise physiologist. Brad delivers a range of education and training programs to allied health staff including Teaching on the Run, Clinical Supervision and ClinConnect.

Brad has worked at the Health Education and Training Institute (HETI), leading a qualitative research study exploring the barriers to, and enablers of, workplace learning for allied health professionals The NSW Allied Health Workplace Learning Study; and has published several research papers through his work with the University of Sydney.

In 2013 Brad worked as part of the organising committee that successfully coordinated Sydney Local Health District's Allied Health Research Forum.

Janelle Muldoon

Janelle Muldoon has worked as our Transitional Nurse Support Program Co-ordinator at CEWD since 2010.

Janelle is committed to supporting nurses to provide excellent care to their patients. She has more than 20 years experience in Clinical Nursing in varied acute care settings, including Intensive Care and Emergency Department.

Prior to her position at CEWD, she worked for 5 years as a Clinical Nurse Educator on Urology and Gynaecology wards, a Clinical Facilitator for Notre Dame University and University of Tasmania, and a Trainee Enrolled Nurse Educator.

Janelle is a Registered Nurse and has continued her education by gaining a Post Graduate Certificate in Critical Care Nursing, a Post Graduate Certificate in Oncology Nursing and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAA).

 
Loretta Musgrave
Loretta Musgrave

Loretta Musgrave is one of CEWD's Midwifery Educators. Her main education responsibilities include leading training in Fetal Welfare, Obstetric Emergencies and advanced midwifery skills.

Prior to her position at CEWD, Loretta worked as a Clinical Midwifery Educator at RPA and has a strong focus on low risk pregnancy and woman–centred care.

Loretta is a graduate of the University of Sydney, Bachelor of Nursing and Graduate Diploma in Midwifery, and has continued her education by gaining a Masters of Education (Adult Education) at The University of Technology Sydney and a Certificate in Sexual and Reproductive Health through Family Planning NSW.

Linda Ramsbottom

Linda Ramsbottom is one of CEWD's Nurse Educators. Her main education responsibilities include leading the Innovation portfolio including the Diploma of project Management.

Prior to her position at CEWD, Linda worked as a Senior Program Officer for District Health Education and Training Institute tracking the progress of resources and liaising with project teams and NSW Health Pillars.

Linda is a graduate of the University of Western Sydney, Bachelor of Health Science (Nursing), and has continued her education by gaining a Masters Degree in Education (Organisational and Workplace Learning), a Graduate Certificate in Perioperative Nursing, and a Certificate IV in workplace training & assessment.

 
Sharmain Smith
Sharmain Smith

Sharmain Smith is one of our Project Officers at CEWD. She is currently leading our Respecting the Difference Aboriginal Cultural Awareness Program for all staff across Sydney Local Health District.

Prior to her position at CEWD, Sharmain worked as a senior policy manager in the Aboriginal Unit within a government agency, and an Indigenous Engagement Manager for the Australian Bureau of Statistics travelling extensively to rural and remote communities.

Sharmain is a graduate of the University of Sydney, Diploma of Education, and has continued her education by gaining a Diploma in Mental Health, and a Diploma in Paramedical Studies.
