Online Orientation


Welcome to the SLHD Online Orientation Program. This program consists of a two part learning pathway, Part A should be completed within 4 weeks of commencing employment, Part B should be completed within 3 – 6 months of employment. For more information about the individual components please see attached information sheet

The NSW Health Mandatory Training Education Matrix determines mandatory training requirements (including orientation and induction) for all staff and targeted mandatory training requirements for specific staff groups. These requirements have been embedded into the new Statewide LMS so that when you log in to the LMS your training dashboard tells you what is outstanding.

To log on to the LMS and access online orientation you will need to initially set up your Staff Link password as you will use your employee number as your username and your Staff Link password as your password.

The Orientation Handbook supports the whole orientation program; copies will be made available during your facility orientation day.

Please note that if you are a current employee of SLHD or an employee of another LHD and have completed the HETI Online Orientation Pathway with a break in service of less than 12 months then you are not required to complete online orientation.
