Services provided

The Paediatric Occupational Therapy Team provides individually tailored assessments for children who are having difficulty participating in everyday activities such as play, handwriting, using scissors, dressing and other self care activities. We can see children with, or at risk of, a learning and/or coordination difficulty, a mild developmental delay or mild intellectual disability, and mild autistic spectrum disorders.

Services are provided in collaboration with families and according to each child's individual needs. Through the provision of fun and engaging activities, we aim to improve children's skills, confidence and independence. This may be through individual therapy sessions, group programs and/or through consultation with preschools/schools. We also frequently work in collaboration with speech pathologists, physiotherapists and counsellors to ensure comprehensive services are offered to families when needed.
