Anatomical Pathology Museum at Concord Hospital
The Anatomical Pathology Museum at Concord Hospital hosts a collection of surgical and post-mortem specimens for teaching purposes. The museum is open to all staff and students and is located on the first floor of the University of Sydney Concord Medical Education Centre at Concord Hospital. The information for each specimen in the display cabinets can be accessed using individual QR codes with a QR reader on your phone or tablet device. To view case notes and images, please select the system from the menu on the left hand side, where the individual specimens are listed. Tutors who use the specimens are to ensure that they are returned to the same position. Many of the specimens are fragile and irreplaceable and care must be taken when handling the containers outside of the display cabinets. The specimens are sorted by a combination of SNOP (Systematic Nomenclature of Pathology) and SNOMED (Systematized Nomenclature of Medicine) codes . The collection is maintained by the staff of the Department of Anatomical Pathology. For any enquiries about the museum please contact the Anatomical Pathology Laboratory on 612-9767 7884. |
