Our Services
Respiratory Function Laboratory
We are an accredited laboratory that utilises the latest, complex equipment with highly trained scientific staff. We test adults >16 years of age. Our testing assists in the diagnosis and monitoring of a broad range of known and suspected lung disease. In addition, we conduct occupational assessments, testing of exercise tolerance and preoperative screening.
Specific tests include:
- Spirometry, lung volumes, diffusing capacity
- Airway hyperresponsiveness tests (mannitol, eucapnic voluntary hyperventilation)
- Respiratory muscle strength
- Arterial blood gases
- Cardiopulmonary exercise tests
- Skin prick tests
- Home oxygen assessment
- Hypoxic challenge testing (flight assessment)
- Physiological shunt studies
- Exhaled and nasal nitric oxide
- Respiratory oscillometry
For patients:

Sleep Studies Laboratory
We use the latest measurement systems that are prepared and monitored by both scientific and nursing staff. Services include both overnight in-lab studies and home sleep studies, for the investigation and monitoring of a broad range of sleep concerns. Our laboratory consists of six purpose-built, climate-controlled private rooms.
Specific tests include:
- Diagnostic sleep studies
- Treatment studies with pressure titration (CPAP, BPAP, ASV, AVAPS )
- Oxygen titration studies
- Studies with mandibular devices (MAS)
- Daytime sleep and vigilance testing (MSLT / MWT)
- Home sleep studies
- Nocturnal oximetry
- Actigraphy

For referrers:
We accept referrals from community-based sleep and/or respiratory physicians. We welcome GP referrals which will be triaged by our Sleep Physicians.
