Eating right

Dairy products - what's best for your child?

There are lots of different dairy products in the shops. Some products are full fat, some are low fat, some are reduced fat and the list goes on. All these choices can make it hard to know what is best for your child. Click here to find out what Kate Holland, childhood dietitian, had to say about dairy and dairy alternatives.

Blue Books

For every baby born in New South Wales, the parents are given a Personal Health Record – better known as a ‘Blue Book’.
The Blue Book has important information about your child’s health and development. It is also a place to record your child’s height, weight, development, illnesses, injuries and immunisations.

We recommend that you take your child’s Blue Book to your Child and Family Health Nurse or local doctor for their regular developmental checks.

The Blue Book is available online in English and 18 other languages. Click here to find out more

To organise a child development check, call the Child Health Information Link on 9562 5400 or contact your local doctor.

Save the date to vaccinate

The “Save the Date to Vaccinate app” makes it easy for parents and carers to ensure their children receive all their important vaccinations on time.

The app sends a reminder whenever a vaccination is due.
