Trainee selection for the RPA BPT Network is through the annual Junior Medical Officer Recruitment process of NSW Health. The application and interview dates vary each year, but applications usually open in mid-late July and close in mid-August, with interviews held around early September.

Key Dates 2017

Information evening Thursday 3 August 2017

Here we provide a comprehensive overview of our program and philosophy of training. The training team members and current trainees will be on hand to answer any questions. The date for this evening will be advertised via the HETI website close to the recruitment period.

May – June. Contact us if you would like to meet one of our training team members.

Please note that NSW Health do not consider informal meetings prior to annual recruitment necessary. Any such meetings are NOT part of the NSW Health official recruitment process and do not influence a trainee's chance of obtaining an interview. However, we are happy to take one-on-one meetings with prospective trainees to help answer questions that they may have about our training program or our network of hospitals.

Unfortunately, due to other training commitments, we are unable to take these enquiries before May of each year. From May, prospective applicants can contact Ms. Sue Alexander (BPT Network Manager) via email, and will be allocated to meet the Network Director of Physician Training, the RPA Director of Physician Training or the Medical Superintendent.
