Student Placement

SPEECH PATHOLOGY STUDENTS

RPA is a teaching hospital.  The Speech Pathology department accepts clinical placements for university students studying Speech Pathology.  All student placements are co-ordinated via the university. Students are allocated a supervisior who provides professional and clinical guidance to the student throughout their placement. 

Students wishing to complete a field placement at RPA should have a keen interest in acute and sub-acute hospital work, capacity to work in a challenging environment, and appropriate written and verbal communication skills.  Students will participate in department activities such as team meetings, professional development and can be provided opportunities to particpating in quality improvement activities.
