The SLHD Surgical Robotic Program includes surgical teams from across the District within a number of different clinical specialties including:

Cardiothoracic:

The department will be focusing on totally endoscopic coronary artery bypass graft (TECABG) vs. sternotomy or minithoracotomy CABG undertaken in a step-wise approach.

 

Urology:

The department will be focusing their research on radical prostatectomy, partial nephrectomy and radical cystectomy.

The department will be focusing their research on the initial experience of an Australian tertiary unit within hysterectomy (for benign disease) and excision of endometriosis.
