Imagine, Transform, Lead, Experience
The Sydney Innovation and Research Symposium is the flagship event of Innovation Week.
In 2019, we’re focusing on experience: the experiences of our patients and their families; the experiences of our staff, who come to work each day to make a difference, and the experience of coming together to celebrate our achievements.
With dozens of presentations from staff across the District, our friends in Sydney Research, expert industry, academic and commercial partners, prepare to be inspired by great ideas, inspirational stories and cutting-edge research.
We will celebrate Sydney Language, as part of the United Nation’s International Year of Indigenous Languages. There’ll be exhibition stalls and an opportunity to network in the SydneyConnect space. We will hear about the inspiring work happening in stroke with a special spotlight on a service.
For the first time, this year’s Symposium-edition Pitch will include a People’s Choice Award. Audience favourite The Great Debate returns and a new ICT lounge debuts. Keynote presenters including Microsoft’s Chief Medical Officer, Dr Nic Woods, and Celebrity Chef “Fast Ed” Halmagyi.
With our Master of Ceremonies Julie McCrossin AM back this year, we are set to have some laughs throughout the day.
The Sydney Innovation and Research Symposium will be held at the Hyatt Regency, Sydney on Friday 28 June 2019 from 8.30am to 5.30pm.
All attendees are invited to attend a cocktail event from 5.30pm to continue the spirit of networking, collaborating and ideas sharing.
Entry is free but you do need to register at www.slhd.nsw.gov.au/innovationsymposium
