Volunteer Service

The Volunteer Program is essential to the service provided by the Concord Centre for Palliative Care.

Our volunteers provide:

• Respite and companionship to patients and carers in the community and inpatient unit
• Art and Diversional Activities for both community and inpatient unit 
• Feeding Program offered in the inpatient unit
• “Jolly Trolley” rounds of the inpatient unit – a trolley filled with an assortment of alcoholic beverages, soft drinks and sweets,  funded by donations

The volunteer service is available free of charge to all of our patients and their carers. Referral can be made by any member of the palliative teams.
