The department of Newborn Care at RPA includes the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), High Dependency Unit (HDU) and Special Care Nursery.

Most parents don't anticipate that their baby will need to spend some extra time in hospital after their birth. At first, the nursery can feel strange and unnatural and many parents find themselves feeling overwhelmed with the experience. It can be a scary and challenging time for families.
