Important information – Automatic Suspension of Ethics Applications with expired Ethics Approval

From Wednesday 28 June 2023, REGIS will deploy a new feature that automatically changes the status of any study with expired ethics approval for at least a year to “Suspended”. This means that the ethics approval will be suspended.

If this affects one of your studies, you will automatically receive an email from the Research Ethics and Governance Office providing instructions on what to do next.

If you have any queries, please contact: SLHD-ConcordEthics@health.nsw.gov.au

The CRGH Research Office has transitioned to the new Research Ethics Governance Information System (REGIS for the management of all ethics, site specific assessment applications and post-approval/authorisation notifications. Application refers to Human Research Ethics Application (HREA) and Site Specific Assessment (SSA) application. The office will receive all new applications for ALL study types through REGIS. This applies to both single-site and multi-site research.

Researchers are encouraged to set-up an account in REGIS https://regis.health.nsw.gov.au/ as soon as possible and should refer to the REGIS Quick Reference Guides (QRGs) https://regis.health.nsw.gov.au/how-to/ for instructions on how to create an application in the system.

If you experience technical issues, you are advised to contact the REGIS Helpdesk on 1300 073 447 or email support@f1solutions.com.au. The help desk is open Monday to Friday from 7 am to 7 pm (excluding public holidays).
