Limitations on treatment

Due to extremely poor outcomes the Fertility Unit does not offer stimulated cycles to women 45 years or older.

For women over 43 years we offer up to 3 stimulated cycles.

Because of health concerns we cannot offer treatment to women with a BMI >= 35.

The Fertility Unit's policy for patients of all ages is to transfer only a single embryo in any fresh or frozen cycle. This is because of the well documented risks associated with multiple pregnancies.
