Referrals

Under its main office, Department of Endocrinology comprises:

• Diabetes Centre
• Metabolism and Obesity Service
• CPC RPA Clinic (Endocrinology Node)
• Endocrinology and Metabolism Centre
• The Greg Brown Diabetes and Endocrinology Research Laboratory

Patients need a referral from their General Practitioner or Medical Specialist to access Department services. Referrals must include the following, as a minimum:

• the relevant service
• the relevant consultant
• patient's full name
• patient's date of birth
• patient's contact number
• reason (s) for referral
• confirmed or suspected endocrine disorder
• pathology/imaging results from within the last month
• Royal Prince Alfred Hospital Medical Record Number (RPAH MRN) if known.
