Education

Patient education about their endocrine disease or disorder plays a significant role in the care we provide. As best suits the patient's needs, education is delivered as part of regular clinical care, or in individual or group consultations.

Education for Health Professionals is a vital part of our holistic care model. We deliver interactive education for doctors, nurses, and allied health care professionals, at all levels of training - including medical and nursing students, and primary and specialist care.

Many of our staff and students present at national and international continuing education forums.

Presentations to state-based healthcare providers is done in more local settings on weekly and monthly. Topics include diabetes, obesity, thyroid and other hormonal disorders.

Our Department provides a weekly Endocrine Journal Club via Zoom which is open to clinician colleagues to attend. We also contribute to weekly RPA Medical Grand Rounds.
