Who We Help

The Endocrinology and Metabolism Centre helps adults manage:

• Pituitary disorders - evaluation, treatment and education of pituitary hormones excess or deficiency, evaluation and management of pituitary tumour, cancer therapy or immunotherapy related pituitary dysfunction
• General Thyroid disorders - evaluation and management of hyperthyroidism and treatment refractory hypothyroidism
• Antenatal Thyroid care - evaluation and management of hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism, and thyroid nodules in pregnancy
• Thyroid nodules and cancers - evaluation and management of thyroid nodules, surgical planning and radioactive iodine treatment of thyroid cancers, and immunotherapy for metastatic thyroid cancer
• Adrenal disorders - evaluation and management of adrenal hormones excess or deficiency, investigation and treatment planning of adrenal nodules and cancer
• Neuroendocrine disorders - evaluation and management of neuroendocrine tumour
• Metabolic bone disease - evaluation and management of complex secondary osteoporosis, calcium metabolism and

The Endocrinology and Metabolism Centre performs the following:

• Bone densitometry scans - to assess bone density
• Specialised dynamic endocrine tests requested by Endocrinologists or Specialist Physicians - to assess the hormonal production and feedback loop
• Adult service 16+ / transition from Paediatric Service
