For referrals to the Endocrinology and Metabolism Centre, please submit an e-referral via HealthLink.

Please address the referral letter to one of our Consultant Endocrinologists:

• Prof Arthur Conigrave
• Dr Arianne Sweeting
• Dr Mike Lin

Referral letter must include:

• Patient's full name
• Patient's date of birth
• Patient's contact number
• Reason (s) for referral
• Confirmed or suspected endocrine disorder
• Pathology/imaging results from within the last month
• if known, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital Medical Record Number (RPAH MRN)

For patients

After your doctor faxes your referral, our staff will contact you to arrange an appointment with the relevant service.

Please bring your Medicare card and any ultrasounds, scans, films or CD/DVDs to your appointment.

If you're not able to attend the scheduled appointment, please contact 9515-7226.

Important points to remember:

• in some cases, your doctor's referral is valid for three months
• if you attend an appointment without a valid referral, you may need to pay a fee
• if you cannot attend an appointment within 3 months of your referral, please ask your GP for an updated referral.

All Department of Endocrinology services and clinics (including the Diabetes Centre, Endocrinology and Metabolism Centre and the Metabolism and Diabetes Service) are located on Level 6 of the main RPA Hospital building.
