About Us
The Cardiology Department at Concord Hospital is a part of the Sydney Local Health District, and a unit of the University of Sydney. We are a highly academically active department with extensive research interests in clinical cardiology and basic sciences. We provide a comprehensive range of in-patient, ambulatory and consultative services both within the hospital and the wider community.
The unit incorporates an Outpatient Clinic - both general and specialty clinics, imaging and functional testing, coronary care, and the cardiac catheter suite providing diagnostic and interventional facilities for coronary artery disease and electrophysiology. We operate a 24 hour/day angioplasty service to cater for emergency management of acute myocardial infarction.
