About the Department The department of benign gynaecology is the largest public gynaecology unit in NSW providing a broad scope of surgery including general gynaecology, minimally invasive surgery (robotic-assisted and laparoscopic), urogynaecology and fertility-related surgery. The department consists of over 20 surgical specialists, who collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, provide more than 3,000 surgical procedures and services to over 3,500 ambulatory care patients annually.
