Allocation of a StaffLink Number

StaffLink numbers & passwords for students are automatically generated by eHealth and emailed to the student via the email address the education provider has added to the students ClinConnect profile. This occurs 13 days prior to a clinical placement commencing; that is ClinConnect with send the student's information to eHealth and eHealth will automatically generate a StaffLink Number and password which is then emailed to the student. Students are encouraged to review their university email addresses for this information.

The student can then use their StaffLink number and allocated password to access HETI-online to complete mandatory training modules as well as use to gain access to other LHD based applications, such as eMR. A delay in issuing a StaffLink number may occur if the students ClinConnect file has been incorrectly completed by the education provider or the education provider has requested a late placement by exception. Students will still receive a StaffLink number when they are assigned to a placement in ClinConnect even if the student is assigned to a placement within 13 days of the placement commencing. Students assigned to a placement less than 7-days prior to the placement commencing and have never previously been provided with a Staff Link number, will have one automatically generated overnight by eHealth. This will be updated in the student's profile and emailed to the student, to enable them to complete eLearning modules thought My Health Learning.

Access to HETI-online to complete mandatory training modules will cease 13 days after the placement has completed. Students should be encouraged to complete mandatory training prior to HETI-online access being removed. Access to HETI-online will only be granted subsequently, 13 days prior to the commencement, of the next clinical placement.

StaffLink numbers are also noted on the "Placement Allocation Report" (in the 3rd column on the left of the report) which can be utilised by clinicians should they be required to establish 'accounts' for students in order to access local resources/applications.
