Facilitator Verification

Clinical facilitators employed by an education provider (or an agency on their behalf) need to meet certain verification requirements prior to commencing within a NSW Health publically owned health facility.

Clinical facilitators who are already employed by NSW Health are considered 'external employees' for the purposes of verification and require full verification on first presentation. This is because the facilitator may not have been screened for verification purposes for several years and it is an opportunity to update the facilitators verification requirements which are listed  here.

Verification includes compliance checking of immunisation history as per NSW Health 2024_015, a signed NSW Health Code of Conduct form, a current Australian National Police Certificate - the policy does not state that the criminal record check needs to have been issued by an Australian Police Service - a current Working with Children Check clearance number which is required to be validated by NSW Health (NOT the receipt number of the application to obtain a WWCC clearance) and current AHPRA registration (where applicable).

Facilitators who are unable to demonstrate compliance will not be allowed to facilitate students within any SLHD facility.
