If urgent or potential admission please call the Burns Registrar via switch on 9767 5000, as per SBIS retrieval & referral criteria. NSW Burns transfer guidelines.

Concord Burns Unit will review referrals for patients aged 16 years + from the following LHDs: Illawarra Shoalhaven, Nepean Blue Mountains, South Eastern Sydney, South Western Sydney, Sydney, Western Sydney, Far West, Murrumbidgee, Southern NSW, Western NSW & the Australian Capital Territory (ACT).

Complete the referral form and upload a photo(s) of the burn to assist with triage.
The referral and the patient's photos will be reviewed within the next 2 business days by our
team.

If indicated, we will contact the patient to book a face to face or virtual appointment and provide support.

Please ensure the patient has an appointment for local wound care, as this referral may not guarantee a Burns Specialist appointment.
